Westover is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, interculturally minded leader for the Director of the Rudolph S. Rasin Center for Global Justice position. This is a 12-month, full-time, mid-level manager that reports to the Chief Strategic Inclusion Officer. This position will ideally begin in July 2022.

The Director will serve as a catalyst for the growth of the Rasin Center for Global Justice while providing leadership and direction for four programs of the Center (Service Learning, Diversity and Inclusion, Environmental Sustainability, and Global Programs).  The Director will also provide oversight for Lumina, Westover’s weekly all-school intentional reflective community gathering. 

The Director is a highly visible presence within the school community, engaging individually and collectively with students, faculty, staff, parents, and the greater external community. They are student-facing providing daily support for students’ needs and progression of long-term projects.


  • Demonstrated ability leading with influencing and motivational skills.

  • Practiced teacher or facilitator leading courses and/or workshops with a range of constituents

  • Ability to communicate and work (written, interpersonal, and group communication) effectively with a large, complex, and diverse community of stakeholders and constituents. 

  • A strong educational foundation in diversity, equity, and inclusion, through formal educational programs or through prodigious professional development, and Westover School invites applicants with diverse experiences in DEI.

  • Commitment to implementing an antiracist lens across programs, policies, and procedures and sustaining Rasin Center team culture

  • Prior supervisory experience will be valuable for this role.

  • A visionary with infectious optimism.

  • Experience in change management and climate assessment.

  • Experience working, living, and/or studying abroad

  • Experience with mediation is a plus 


  • Reimagine a model of expansive impact for the Rasin Center grounded in youth development that connects students with education on self-awareness, community engagement, and global connectedness 

  • To supervise a dedicated and passionate team, eager to re-envision the work of the Center with cross-program collaboration a key interest

  • Maintain well developed long-standing relationships with exchange partners 

  • Champion the efforts of students to appreciate multiple perspectives and recognize that the world is made up of interconnected and interdependent systems

  • Strengthening and expanding the interconnectedness between the Rasin Center for Global Justice and the School’s mission to prepare students to lead a life of consequence

  • To share the incredible stories of the center and its impact with all constituencies

  • To connect students to impactful experiential learning opportunities locally, nationally, and globally

  • Champion the Vision for Belonging and Justice by setting a high bar of expectations for all constituents to push deeper into the work of DEIJB.


  • To evolve the intentional connections between the Rasin Center programs (Service Learning, Diversity and Inclusion, Environmental Sustainability, and Global Programs) and build interdisciplinary connections between the Rasin Center and other academic departments and student facing programs 

  • Create collaborative structures, and programs so that the work of the Rasin Center aligns and further implements Westover’s Vision for Belonging and Justice

  • Coordinating a strategic planning process for the Rasin Center that complements the work of Westover’s strategic plan 2020-25 

Additional duties as a member of the teaching faculty and administrative team include mentoring a group of students as an advisor.
