Westover School is looking for an enthusiastic, and dedicated rock climbing and outdoor instructor for the remainder of 2021/2022 Winter season which will run from the beginning of January and extends through the end of February, with the opportunity to continue until mid-May.
Westover School is seeking an individual who possesses the skills and motivation to lead our Rock Climbing and Outdoor program. We are looking for a coach who has extensive experience with indoor or outdoor climbing, instructing belaying and is able to accommodate a variety of students at different climbing levels. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in rock climbing, but would also benefit from experience with Winter camping, hiking and orienteering. They should have the ability to lead and motivate team members and provide an atmosphere that instills respect and trust through group development. Prior experience teaching at the high school, college, camp, or other outdoor program is preferred. Rock climbing certifications are a plus. Relocation and housing are not offered as part of this position.
