We are seeking a part-time Dance Instructor beginning August 2024 to work collaboratively with the Director of Dance in creating an inclusive environment that encourages students to discover the joy, creativity, and freedom of dance.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Champion the school’s mission and core values.

Have experience in teaching multiple levels and styles of dance

Enjoy teaching high school aged students

Invest in the school community and create an environment of belonging through intentional relationship building

Possess 5+ Years of dance instruction experience

Prioritize an inclusive environment welcoming to all community members and celebratory of all identities and cultures

Be adaptable, flexible, enthusiastic, and empathetic  

Take advantage of professional development opportunities 

Description and Responsibilities:

Hours are as follows when school is in session: 

Monday and Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 pm

Wednesday from 1:30 to 5:30 pm

Saturday from 1:30 to 4:30 pm

Teach ballet, contemporary, and jazz to students in Grades 9 - 12 ranging from beginning level first time dancers to advanced level dancers. 

Support the Director of Dance in planning and choreographing performances for Family & Special Friends Weekend, Candlelight, the Spring Dance Concert, and Orchard.

Collaborate with other members of the Performing Arts Department as needed
